Go as 2 B’s ? How does having 2B’s in AP courses affect college admissions, especially UMD?

It appears as a single grade on the report card / transcript, but it is worth two credits. My child took double period Biology and double period Chemistry, and the grades did not appear to impact the overall GPA any differently than a one credit course.

Your kid must have had As. The class counts twice as much in the GPA calculation

The answer to this depends entirely on what school you attend, and what the other kids' gpas are. A few Bs are not disqualifying by any means.

Each MCPS class counts as one grade, regardless of how many periods it takes up. It also counts as one science credit for high school graduation. Whether or not it counts for anything regarding college course placement or college credit is up to the individual college.

My son at PHS has two grades for AP Physics C. He took Electricity and Magnetism and Mechanics. He said first semester was all Mechanics and second was E&M
