Thoreau vs. Luther Jackson AAP

For parents who kept their kid at Thoreau for AAP, were you happy with this decision or in hindsight do you wish you had sent them to Luther? We all know the general reputation is that academics are probably better at Luther Jackson but the "community" is better at Thoreau. We want to keep our kid at Thoreau but he wants to go to Luther wit his best friend.
