Gold jewelry recommendations

I’m in the market for a simple pair of chunky, 14K gold hoop earrings. Most of my jewelry is ‘branded’ (think David Yurman, Van Cleef) but I don’t care about a specific brand and just want good quality. Any recommendations? I actually saw a pair at Costco that intrigued me, also get a lot of ads for Merjuri and Gorjana. Dept. stores seem overpriced. Appreciate any recs

I love gold earrings from Costco. My everyday pair (studs) is from there and I frequently shower and sleep in them. Great quality,

Bloomingdales House brand when they have a sale is always great.

Costco is also very good quality.

Merjuri and Gorjana are interchangeable. Both are fine but they cater to a lower priced buyer most of the time. Their items that sell a lot are $500 or less very little gold in them. Don't get me wrong I have pieces from both that I adore, they are more fast fashion that's all.

Nordstrom's house brand Bony Levy is not as good as it used to be so don't buy that.

Costco is reliable.

I would not buy jewellery from Costco. Find a local jeweller.

That’s silly. Costco sells high quality jewelry as long as you like the design.

Your local, independent jeweler is great for that sort of thing.

That's not really a recommendation though. Unless you have a store name, it doesn't help someone who might already know of a good local, independent jeweler.
