Why Doesn't D.C. Have a Same Day Theatre Discount Outlet?

| Like NYC. I went online around 3 pm the other day and you could not buy a single ticket to any play at a theatre for that night that I could find. It seems like there are surely a few open seats somewhere in DC and that 3 pm would not be too late to purchase the ticket and make it to the theatre depending on location. |
