Recent scandals make me question how much we inform our kids about digital privacy. It’s crucial for them to understand that anything written on a computer, even “private” messages or local files, can potentially be captured and broadcast to the world.
Most teens might grasp that anything digital can be easily copied, but do they act recklessly because of nihilism? Do they genuinely not care if a private photo or hateful message gets shared with others, even their elderly grammie? How do you approach these conversations with your kids? |
