The women of DC on Bumble. Wow.

I am traveling to DC and got to see Bumble's women in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. Wow. There are a ton of nice looking middle aged women with serious jobs. Partner of this, director of that, PhD scientist, doctor, lawyer, etc. Plus the usual real estate agents, teachers, and yoga instructors. I'm not even talking about the ones who look like sugar babies advertising for sugar daddies. I'm talking about the women whose photos look real and write some details about themselves. Many of these women are very fit and nice looking, even in their forties and fifties (and sometimes sixties).

Are the men like that too? If the men are like the men in my city, then regular guys probably don't do all that well on Bumble, and these women are probably frustrated. I mean, there are a lot of them, especially over age fifty.

I’m one of those women but in my sixties. I can’t find any men on apps that I consider dateable.

I don’t live in DC anymore, but every time I go back I’m always impressed with the men on dating apps. Where I live, the average guy drives DoorDash for a living and makes 420 his entire personality. Every successful woman I know in my city struggles with dating because the pickings are slim.

That being said, the women where I live aren’t great either. Many are very very beautiful (part of the culture is tons of makeup, hair always styled, very revealing clothes) but my guy friends say it’s basically impossible to find one with a real job. They all just want to marry into money and stay home.

When you travel and enter a new pool, Bumble always pushes the most desirable profiles. I travel a lot and it always looks better initially when I'm away from home.
