How many absences require a doctor's note?

| Hi. Could anyone point me to where the policy is for MCPS requirements for physicians note after illness/how many days absent require a note? I thought it said if absent for more than 3 days but i can't find the policy anywhere. Thanks! |

Ok, yes. I don't like that the school once told me if out for 3 days earlier in the school year which sounded ridiculous to me. There is no written policy i can find so that was not correct |

You mean for it to be marked as excused rather than unexcused? |

I remember a written policy a few year ago but I have searched the mcps website today as well as our school website and cannot find anything. If there is a countywide policy it shouldn't be so difficult to find. Very strange. |

I have a student who is absent 1-2 days a week on average. Everything is well-documented as a chronic condition.
We asked for notes because we want to make sure kids are getting proper medical treatment. |
