What is happening isn't a distraction. It's all part of a broader picture. Trump is accountable to no one, he uses his power to protect the powerful and doesn't care what happens to everyday Americans, including having his goons shoot us in the face. Republicans could stop this at anytime but they choose not to. It doesn't matter WHY they don't do anything. The fact is they CHOOSE do so nothing. I hvae a lot of issues with the Democrats but they aren't in power.

We stopped talking about it because it doesn't substantively matter. We knew what Trump was before these files just as we know what he is after these files. The cover up will continue, he will not face consequences, and they will continue dismantling our democracy. Constantly yapping about the Epstein files is now the distraction.
