Think we're due for a new thread on city clubs:
Any updates on the U Club, Metropolitan, etc. Dues, prestige, state of club affairs etc |
| You sounds broke and thirsty. Why don't you start, OP? |
| Ned’s is weird but kind of fun. The interiors and the staff are great. But it doesn’t have a gym. |
| Camelot club is nice for lunch😂 |
+1 Most people who are members of a city club are also members of other clubs for their golf, swim, etc. Gym would be vital for those who are not/have their own pool, etc. |
| Does Met club have an indoor pool? |
no |
|
University Club has a very nice indoor pool.
|
Especially if you're seated at the Marion Berry Memorial Booth. |
Do you mean the conference room? |
Agree. The UC facilities are excellent. It is the only city club that offers pool, squash, sauna, workout facilities, in addition to top restaurants and also casual restaurant and lounge. Also has roof deck and valet. Only club that has drive up parking etc... Cosmos is also really nice but no pool and athletic is much smaller than UC. |
University Club actually ranks higher than many other clubs in the area. Only one to make top 15 list besides Cosmos. https://www.platinumclubsofamerica.com/top-50-city-clubs-2025-2026 |
It is difficult to get into though. You can't just join. You have to have connections and sponsors. |
