| I take care of my mother (24/7) just me as my sister and only sibling is disabled - trying to make a payment plan with my father does anyone have a suggestion what it should be weekly? I’ve read online $3000-$5000? Just curious if anyone in a similar situation? |

We paid people $50/hr both family members and non family members.
We paid for meals during that time. One person had to fly to care for my mom and take leave without pay so we paid loss of wages and flight. |
| That makes sense thank you |
| Are you charging your parents to take care of them? |
| Good lord. I only get $15 an hour for taking care of my dad. I worry about how I’d justify $50 to the rest of the family. |
| My father wants to compensate me/come up with a plan because I’m taking care of my mom full time alone and around the clock (as my father stays in Florida and I am staying with her in the Washington DC area) |

If she was at home with caregivers you'd have to hire them 24/7 and they are around $25/hour (low). So that's 600 per day x 30. $18,000 a month. $5000 a month is a bargain for them. |
| You can't really charge 24/7 7 days a week. You need to sleep sometimes. |
| My apologies - I was asking about per week? |
Of course I do sleep but I’m on call in case my needs what I meant is I stay with her 100% of the time etc |

| See an elder care attorney. It may be better to pay you now to care for her if she ever needed to qualify for Medicaid, instead of an inheritance later. |
| Your dad leaving you in DC while he goes to Florida is pretty bad. I would call an eldercare service and find out what it costs/hour. Then charge that. |
| Okay thank you |
