I am closing in on 50, and the forehead wrinkles are becoming more and more noticeable. I currently use some pretty decent skincare - tretinoin, vit c serum, hylauronic acid, even a red light face mask. The wrinkles however are just to the point where I’m wanting to try something that will give me better results.
What treatments / procedures have given you good/bad/unexpected results. I’m not interested in Botox or surgery. Thinking more along the lines of peels and lasers at this point. And, if you have anywhere to recommend going to that is in Montgomery county/DC metro even better! Thanks! |
| You are doing all the correct stuff for wrinkles. To get the results you want, I think you should reconsider light botox. It works. If you hate it, let it wear off and you don't do it again. Go to a real doctor, not a medspa type place. |

| There's really not much more than botox (or dysport or xeoman) or a facelift to make a noticeable difference. A good injector will keep it natural. As someone said above, do not go to a medspa. |
| Botox or something similar is the only thing that will work well at preventing the wrinkles from getting worse and actually reducing them. If you are concerned about looking frozen, get a light amount of it where you are not completely paralyzing facial muscles just lessening the movement. |

You can fix forehead wrinkles with anything but botox. They are connected to your anatomy and too fixed. Botox is great!
Peels and lasers can resurface and improve texture, but will not touch forehead wrinkles. |
| ^ can't! |
| I have done multiple microneedling and chem peels and the only thing that erases my forehead wrinkles is botox. |
| How long does the Botox last and is there any benefit to just doing it once or twice a— like does that slow down the wrinkle process or you just end up in the same place you would have been? |
| Botox lasts around 4-5 months and then you have to do it again. But you are no worse off. You may want to try it and then decide if it’s worth continuing. It’s really not a big deal other than the cost. |
It won’t slow down the aging process. It wears off and you have to do it again and again and again. |
Wears off in 2.5 months for me but I have a high metabolism. I've tried all the brands. |

I had forehead wrinkles my entire life, but by 40 they were deep furrows. Botox made only a slight difference since my hooded eyes limited where and how much I could have it done. I needed an actual brow lift to see results. It looks great.
Sometimes you can spend a lot of money avoiding surgery that would be better spent on the surgery to actually fix the problem. |
| Getting old is a good problem to be have, IMHO. |
