| I’m not a heavy GPT or AI user so forgive the ignorance. I just asked it to help help synthesize several distinct genres under one topic and it responded with some suggestions and an emoji. It was if I had asked my child this question and they had texted me back a response. I’ll admit I was taken aback by a shit in emotion when reading the response. It is unsettling. I’m sure it sounds crazy but I’ve never been able to relate to the stories of people being drawn into AI but now I get it. If the majority of your conversations are via text then this wouldn’t be so strange. Scary. |

Good clarification. I was very confused. |

I use Chat GPT to make sure I'm not missing medical diagnoses or insight for my relatives or myself, so there's not much of an emotional connection I'm looking for.
Indeed, the overly friendly aspect of AI tools for the public is problematic. AI is not your best friend. It's stroking your ego because it was told do so, since AI creators were worried that the public would fear it too much to use it. Don't fall for it, OP. |

I do find ChatGPT helpful on occasion, but it is so bizarrely friendly, complementing you on how smart your question is etc. |
I really hate that too. It's very pandering, and I only use it for intrinsically boring stuff. |

I had a couple of abnormal results in a recent blood test, Chat GPT was actually pretty good for helping me understand the big picture.
The overall answer I got was "you should cut down on XYZ" but that my numbers are still actually pretty common for my age and at the moment have not much larger meaning than that. |
Was that really helpful though? Of course we all know what we should cut down on. |
I love ChatGPT for medical stuff. It's diagnosed 2 illnesses my kids had that doctors couldn't. Now when we're sick, I send the symptoms to ChatGPT, get a diagnosis and suggested treatment, then hop on a Telehealth appointment, tell them what illness it is and what prescription I'd like, they write the prescription. SO much better than going to Urgent Care. |

That was a hilarious mistake! Thank you. |
You can add in terms like "honestly" or "positively". Otherwise it's a total ass kisser and kind of tells you what you want to hear. |
+1 i also use it for medical information and diagnostic results, however, the never ending ‘that’s a very insightful question’ types of responses makes me concerned it is delivering answers it thinks i want, not what is fully accurate. |
| Not later than me. I have a slight idea of what ChatGPT is which is asking AI something I think but have never used it and don't understand the function of it either. I don't care to either. |
