Can I donate anywhere in DC or do places only take new ones?

If it has been in a crash, trash. Otherwise, I think a rec center or church in a low income neighborhood might welcome it.

I doubt they would welcome it since there is no way to know the history.

If they work - donate to
National center for children and families in Bethesda. They are umbrella group for > 20 programs to help vulnerable families get back on their feet. They would take bike helmets that work.

Or donate to Good Will or other thrift store
