Hi,
We sent our kids DD (11) and DS (10) to camp Shohola and Netimus this past summer for 7 weeks and although it was nervewracking, it was one of the best decisions of our lives. Every night during dinner, they still talk about camp and how much they miss it. We are planning to send them again this year. Our experience was very positive with staff and communication. They encouraged us not to call/communicate the first week because the kids need to take it all in. There are plenty of acitivities to choose, specially at Shohola. Siblings meet at least once per week for dinner at either camp. Cultural diversity was important to us and we are glad that our kids reported rich cultural, ethnic and social-economic diversity and our kids made friends from different parts of the world (Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America, US) that they still stay in contact with some of them. They enjoyed an electronics free, fun and empowering summer and we are forever grateful.
