| Went to a visit and number 1 choice. MCPS public- unweighted 4.0, 1490 first sat (will take in Spring) good ecs but no national/sports extraordinary. Submit if he can't get over 1500? I don't see many MCPS HS with ED at UWASH but the privates kids are getting in. Curious if this is in our range. |
| You mean WUSTL? University of Washington’s short name is UDub, and it doesn’t have ED. |
| UDub is the better choice. Just sayin. |
|
WashU? If so, they love private school kids.
But they love demonstrated interest. Do "Junior Jumpstart" if you can swing it. https://admissions.washu.edu/visit-us/ |
| My public school kid got in RD last year with a 4.0 unweighted, 1510 superscore. We're full pay. Not in the DMV area. Kid's ecs were strong. Kid actually did not show demonstrated interest. Good luck to you! |

UW (UDub) = University of Washington - Seattle
WashU = Washington University in St. Louis |
| Poster says UW. Have same interest in WashU in our household. |
FYI it is not WUSTL anymore - it is just Wash U. |
| DC got into WashU ED (which shows clear demonstrated interest) from MCPS a couple years ago. So-so ECs, 4.0 UW, 35 ACT. Full pay. DC loves the school and is having a fantastic experience. Good luck! |
oh is your kid deciding on their own? ha! |
| Pretty sure UDub does not have ED, so I’m assuming OP means WashU? |
Hard agree. Also Seattle >>>> St. Louis Missouri. |
| At our private, WUSTL needs ED plus 3.6-3.8 UW and SAT of 1500-ish. |
| UDUB is also test blind. |
It's WashU. What a gross, stupid name, like they expect their students are dirty |
