| Planning a trip for a family of 4 (all adults) to southern Spain this June. Any recommendations for lodging in Malaga, Grenada, and Seville would be appreciated. Also any advice or tips would be appreciated as well. Thanks! |
| Go EARLY in june and book all visits/entry asap as things will fill up quickly. |
| I stayed just for one night in the AC Marriott in Malaga which was absolutely beautiful (it was decorated for Christmas). It is the perfect location for walking around the city. |
| Booking.com is much better in Andalusia for apartment rentals than Airbnb. |

We loved the Hotel Colon in Seville. Was just there in December; perfect location and lovely European property.
Hint from one who travels often to Europe: Avoid the Marrriots and Hyatts if you can. You will have a richer and more European experience at an NH or other local brand property. |
| FYI Grenada there are two hotels on site of the Alhambra— one fairly posh and one a very cheap motel. |
| We loved the Gran Hotel Miramar in Malaga. Perfect location right on the beach with a short walk to the historic center. Very beautiful, classic old-school Mediterranean luxury feel, with a gorgeous rooftop bar and view of the ocean. In Granada we stayed in the Albaicin at a small B&B called Casa Bombo. The view of the Alhambra from their patio is better than any of the famous lookouts. However, it's not directly accessible by car, so you have to park at a private lot several blocks away and then walk on some hilly cobblestone streets to get there. Since you're going in June, I would look for places with a pool because it can be very hot that time of year. |
Damn this place is $850 pls taxes for 2 double beds in April |
+1 for Gran Hotel. Beautiful hotel and right near the sea |
| Go also to Cordoba. |
|
Visit Marbella and the costa del sol while you’re in Malaga. It’s 1/2 hour drive. We stayed in a small town west of Marbella and drove around. It was amazing.
One of the highlights ended up a flamenco inspired fashion show, with singing and dance performances in between the different designers. It was really nice. Just something organized by the small town municipality, free for all. So check out also smaller towns and events while you’re there. |
| We love staying in the Jewish Quarter in Seville. For Granada, we stay in the Parador of Granada due to its proximity to the Alhambra. |
Which hotel? I am looking to travel to both cities this summer |
Yes, Córdoba over Malaga. |
| Did a day trip to Gibraltar and enjoyed it. Parked in La Linea, walked across the runway and got a van tour of the Rock. |
