Michael Reagan (eldest son of Reagan) has passed away

He was 80. He was a award winning and accomplished journalist with a long and distinguished career:

I’m surprised no one has commented, OP. I’m not opening a newsmax article, but there was me in WaPo. I’ll bet half of DCUM doesn’t know what he did or what his relationship with his dad was.

May he rest in peace. But was he an award winning journalist? I hadn't heard of him but I looked him up.

His dad abandoned him and his two sisters when he met Nancy. Then Michael became a rightwing news commentator to try to assuage his unrequited love for his father. Meanwhile, Ron Jr and Patti Davis basically disowned their father's conservative politics.

Michael always struck me as a try-hard who needed therapy.

Oops. I was confusing him with his brother Ron Reagan who did not support his father.
