Decluttering what would you do?

List things and see what others would do (sell, donate, trash)

50 inch tv works fine, no space and won't use

8 foot ladder brand new with stickers

Dining room table and 4 chairs still in style but never ever used

Blank checkbook books

Coin wrappers for wrapping coins

Pjs unworn but don't fit well

Beauty products that you don't use

White socks with no holes but scratchy

Food you wont eat

Post you own list if you need a "voice of reason" to help make decisions.

I'd donate most of it except the checkbook but I have little patience for selling unless it is pretty high value. So, maybe the dining set? But not the pajamas.

A thousand men will show up to buy your ladder. You can get a bidding war. Men love good ladders.

50 inch tv works fine, no space and won't use - Attempt to sell on FB marketplace. $20 OBO. If no takers after a week, buy nothing/free cycle. If no takers after a week, donate if Goodwill takes it, otherwise trash.

8 foot ladder brand new with stickers - Same as above, $10 OBO.

Dining room table and 4 chairs still in style but never ever used - Same, $30 OBO.

Blank checkbook books - Trash

Coin wrappers for wrapping coins - Trash

Pjs unworn but don't fit well - Donate

Beauty products that you don't use - Trash. Exception: If you have something unopened and really nice, I might try the FB/BN/Donate flow above at $5 or $10 OBO.

White socks with no holes but scratchy - Trash.

Food you won't eat - Trash.

Don't trash these! Put them out on your front yard with a FREE sign or post on a local listserv. Or, see if your cleaners want them.

Do anything to keep out of trash. So wasteful!

Near me whatever we put on the curb on bulk trash day gets collected by people. So anything big can go on the curb and will not go to a landfill.

50 inch tv works fine, no space and won't use - sell on Marketplace if 5 years old or less, otherwise Buy Nothing

8 foot ladder brand new with stickers - sell on Marketplace

Dining room table and 4 chairs still in style but never ever used - sell on Marketplace

Blank checkbook books - trash

Coin wrappers for wrapping coins - you could try it on BN but don’t expect a lot of takers. It will probably end up being trash.

Pjs unworn but don't fit well - BN

Beauty products that you don't use - BN if unused otherwise trash. However I’d spend a little time looking up what the products are as some products have a good resale market if they are in new condition and not too old. Certain palettes and certain scents from Bath and Body Works and Victoria’s Secret are good for resale.

White socks with no holes but scratchy - trash

Food you wont eat - BN if unopened and unexpired otherwise trash

I don’t care to waste time on selling most things FWIW. Only larger items. Much of the stuff labeled “trash” could be donated to someone you know who would use, or listed on your local “buy nothing” page if someone will pick up. Just depends whether you find it worth the time. I would not.

You could post all of these on a buy nothing group and they'd likely get picked up off your porch. Except maybe the coin wrappers. And I'm not familiar with blank checkbooks, are you sure they don't contain your routing number?

Socks are great for dusting.
