Open convo: What’s my symptom? What do I have?

Post a weird symptom you have, and see if anyone has personal insight to what it could be.

Long term/short term.

I have two I wanted to ask about, but it’s not much of a conversation. Others may have questions like this too.

Long term: around my period I get one cystic zit.
Could be chin, cheek, nose, jaw, temple.
So once a month, I get one. I used to battle acne but no more. My entire face is very clear, except.. like I said, cystic zit that is never in the same place. Takes me 2-3 weeks to treat and fade, and then a new one arrives.

Short term: I was quite sick recently and had a sensitive tummy as well. Made worse by Augmentin. But I noticed with end of antibiotics, no issues. Done. Now I’m feeling good, but yesterday and today.. everytime I eat, within 5 minutes, I have to go to the bathroom. It’s like immediate.

Small breakfast - bathroom
Small snack mid morning - bathroom
Lunch - I was surprised, again.. didn’t even finish my sandwich and had to pause and go.

I’ll start back on the probiotics I had been taking, but anything else I can do?

Sometimes the space between my breasts turns red and splotchy. This has been going on for 3-4 months now. It’s not a rash and I only notice it in the shower or when changing. Other than being unsightly, it does not bother me.

I thought it could be from a necklace I wear every day, but the splotches were there today and my necklace was above my clothes all day.

Mild eczema? We’ve had this on and off in our family. We love these two products
-Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream Body Wash
-Vanicream or Eucerin lotion

This is the function of something called the gastrocolic reflex. It is common after intestinal infections but it can also happen with both IBS and IBD. If it persists, see a GI.

Best case it was the antibiotics and your gut biome is off, triggering that reflex. Take the probiotics. Eat live culture yogurt or drink kefir.

Well, this is an anonymous and you asked… About once a week my farts will smell like a tire instead of poop. No major changes in my diet throughout the week. No changes to consistency.

New and hopefully short term:
My tongue is getting irritated on the right hand side where it seems to be resting on my teeth in a (proper) neutral tongue position.

As in, my tongue is at the front of the mouth, cleaved to the roof; not mouth breathing, all comfy except this one side where there's not enough room or my bite has changed. It drives me nuts at night when I try to go to sleep.

Sore area that won’t heal, because it’s a little sore, then won’t heal. Vicious cycle. I have no idea. Try random mouth washes and sea what happens
-coconut oil mixed in water (shake)
-salt water mixture
