| I tried to look this up but haven't got a good answer. I'm unsure how you can just read free books online like that but I don't want to do anything illegal. Is it safe to use does anyone else use this site? |

It's a pirate site. Totally illegal.
Our libraries have multiple free options for borrowing ebooks legitimately: Libby, Hoopla, and Freeding come to mind. I'm sure there are more! |
Some people don't want a state/county public library card. |

I don’t know anything about that website, but if you’re willing you read old books whose copyright has expired, you can access them for free on project Gutenberg.
https://gutenberg.org/ Also, Kindle has free reads available. They tend to be series starters, books by new authors, older books whose copyright has expired, etc. You can access a list of free bestsellers in desktop mode (it isn’t available in mobile mode) here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/digital-text/154606011/ref=zg_bs?ie=UTF8&tf=1 BookBub will send you emails on book deals, which sometimes include free books. Here is their website: https://www.bookbub.com/hero-books-discounted-ebooks/2?source=ba_us_bookbub_exact&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=US-Brand%3A%20Bookbub&msclkid=184cba74da2518c2a743d328c8d42ef5&utm_term=bookbub&utm_content=Exact |
