MD Juniors Facility

We were at a tournament at the MD Juniors facility yesterday, and it’s in a total state of disrepair. Does anyone know what is going on? Are they planning to move out, which is maybe why it’s in such bad shape?

We just came back from a MD Juniors tournament. The facility is the same for years and I think the management simply repairs whatever is urgent and doesn't care about updating the facility to higher standards. You would think that they make enough money from all the club fees and tournament fees, but I really don't know how much they pay for rental (or mortgage). We simply expect that kind of an industrial facility for a MD Jrs tournament and get used to a higher standards when we go to a tournament in the St. James facility. Or something in between at the Rockville Sportsplex.

The paper towel dispensers are taped together, the toilets here missing parts, several of the front doors have broken glass and are covered with plastic. It’s so much worse than any other facility.

Yes it is filthy and in disrepair. It’s been like that for at least the past three years yet they seem not to care. I do not know why.

I sometimes wonder if CHRVA could fine them. Or if the county health inspectors should stop by.

It sounds the same as it was last year. I was especially shocked at the state of the bathroom. It was bad.

I love their chicken teriyaki for $9.5!

Their bathroom is disgusting.

Given the condition of the facilities, I am not confident in their food preparation and storage standards. Props to the people who get the shrimp, though!

19:59 again.

Given what I have seen of their bathroom, I have instructed my kid NEVER to get any food there. Disaster waiting to happen.

Yes, I think calling the health inspector might be a good idea, rather than everyone just ignoring the elephant.

This brings back memories - MD Jrs was the first tournament we participated when my DD started club and we didn't know what to expect. It was absolutely wild and we didn't know any better. We had really low expectations as we were competing around in other venues and we kept being pleasantly surprised. That's what happens when the bar is so low at the beginning.

My daughter plays indoor field hockey there. It’s disgusting. Can’t wait to get back outside!

Is anyone here affiliated with MD Jrs? Can you help?

You know when that facility is REALLY awful? During the summer! It isn't air conditioned and it's hot as balls in there. And still dirty and falling apart. Good times! haha

I love french fries and can eat them from almost anywhere... but MD Jrs french fries are NASTY. Taste like old old cooking oil almost every time, yuck! I haven't eaten any food there now in 3 yrs.
