So much anticipation and excitement, and it all went by so quickly. I had gotten used to the quiet house, but after a lively break, I have to adjust all over again.
Anyone else? |
| Me too |
| Mine goes back this week. I am jaellusof all the families who have their kids honey til the end of Jan. |
| Yep, DH is currently driving mine to the airport and I’ve basically taken to my bed. It’s a gut punch for both of us every time. |
| Me too. I have twins. One leaves tomorrow and one on Wednesday and I am so sad. I know it will pass in a few days but boy, this stinks all over again. |
| C'mon man, toughen up. There is a season for everything . . . |
“Taken to your bed”? Do you live in a Jane Austen novel? Grab some smelling salts and buck up. |
| Same…I want to cry |
| I will be- but first day of class isn’t until the 21st so I’m going to enjoy two more weeks |
| It’s a normal feeling, but you will get over it quicker than you did in Sept. Before you know it, it’s spring break and remember, the end of the school year is in May. |
| Did you not develop your child's deep roots so they could take flight and live their best life? If you did it right they will always stay connected. Let them go, and move along with your life as a person, not a parent |
| It went too fast! |
Agree! |
| It seems so early for the spring semester to start. My son goes back on the 20th and he’s bummed some of his HS friends are going back already. |
|
I'm not, one exhausts me. I was also the person that started the I am not sad over the summer though haha!
The easy one is fine, but they are doing so many amazing things at college and that is more thrilling to me to see them thriving. The youngest, we get along better with a little distance. I am too type A and all their ways of doing things are more tolerable from afar. We both annoy each other less. |
