About a week ago, I first noticed that I have a light spot right on the tip of my nose. At first glance it almost looks like a small zit, except there is no texture to it. Upon closer inspection I realized that is actually light brown, and looks like some kind of hyperpigmentation.
This is incredibly annoying to have hyperpignmentation appear in such a ridiculous spot. How do I get rid of it? I would prefer home treatments but am open to medspa/dermtalogical treatments as well. I am a fair-skinned caucasian if that makes a difference as to what type of treatments I would best be suited for. |
| Do you already use tretinoin and SPF everyday? |
| It could be a melanoma. Best to go to a dermatologist. |
| You need to go get this checked by a derm. |
It may not be hyperpigmentation. Please get checked out. |
| Agree with the last 2 posters. I know of two men that had facial/head (bald) abnormalities that turned out to be cancerous. Both are ok, likely because their wives made them get it checked out. Please get a referral asap! |
| I have the same thing. I looked it up but can't remember the name basically says its common as you age. |
| Stop brown nosing |
| Go to a dermatologist yo find out what it is. Then decide. |
| You could get IPL |
| If it’s hyperpigmentation then get it lasered, go to dermatologist that will verify what it is and does laser treatments |

DH once said to me - “ugh, I must be getting old; look at this brown spot.” I insisted he go to the derm and it was 100% cancerous. Don’t mess around.
If it’s not dangerous, they can also recommend Rx or otc treatments. |
| It's likely a basal cell carcinoma--see a dermatologist! |
| Sebaceous hyperplasia |

Only on DCUM will you complain about a new freckle and they tell you you might be dying. Are these the same people who tell you divorce is the only answer for your husband who leaves socks on the floor?
OP get vitamin C powder and mix a tiny bit with your moisturizer. Put this on every night and it will fade but probably not disappear completely. Use sunscreen every single day even in winter. |
