My husband signed up for Audible last year and forgot about it and we have 12 credits to use before I cancel it.
What are some well narrated audiobooks? I'm generally not a fan of them but in the past I've enjoyed listening to one where there were different readers/actors for each character or autobiographical books where the author did the reading (Tina Fey for example). |
| Nobody’s Girl by Virginia Roberts Giuffre - Epstein victim |
| The Correspondent—different actors for different letter writers. |
| Molly Shannon’s memoir is great! |
| Kate Atkinson's Life After Life - beautifully read. |
| Listen for the Lie I’ve heard is better to listen to. |
| Project Hail Mary - only available on audible |
| Ken Follett's books are great to listen to. |
| Born a Crime by Trevor Noah |
OP here--I've actually listened to this one on a road trip a few years ago and really enjoyed it. |
Yes. I used an Audible credit for this. Loved it! Also, know that you can return books for a refund if you don’t like them. I think within 30 or 60 days? The mechanism is a little hard to find, but it’s there on the website. I think it’s better to pause the membership for as long as you can before cancelling. You’ll get to keep certain benefits or maybe access things you can’t once you cancel. |
| Project Hail Mary, The Correspondent, House in the Cerulean Sea, Remarkably Bright Creatures |
| Lisa Marie Presley's book about Elvis was much more interesting than I'd anticipated. I liked the audible version because it included recordings of her mom too. |
| Rules of Civility - the narrator for that book is amazing (I have listened to most of what she's done) but she does that book to absolute perfection. |
