1:1 device usage in public elementary schools

What will it take to get districts to reevaluate 1:1 device usage in early elementary?

PGCPS does not have 1:1 devices for elementary and most middle schools anymore.

PGCPS put out an announcement about this last year, it is at the principal's discretion and I'm guessing they make that call based on budget and their own philosophy. Our middle school and elementary school are not 1:1, the kids use them sporadically through the day and they stay on charging carts. They are doing a lot more work on paper than they were a couple of years ago

My high schoolers have Chromebooks/iPads that are assigned to them.

I think that elementary and middle school parents can request loaner Chromebooks when kids have projects that have to be done outside of school (STEM fair, Write a Book, NHD etc)
