| I'm considering buying my first enameled dutch oven. We typically cook with all clad stainless pots or use our instant pot. Is adding an enameled dutch going to be an improvement? If yes, which do you recommend. I considered lodge but prefer something not made in china if it is enameled. |
| I find my 5 qt round to be the most-used. |
| I use my 7.25 qt round LC all the time - I kind of want a giant 13.25 qt one but I feel like the cost wouldn't be justified by how infrequently I'd use it. Or, alternatively, I'd use it way too often and we'd have miles of leftovers from every trip to the stovetop. |
| I have 5,7,9, and 13-qt round LeCreusets and they all get used regularly. I’m glad I didn’t buy oval because I have an electric cooktop now. |
Kinda depends on what you're planning to make in it. I have a Staub 7-qt oval and it's one of my favorite kitchen tools. I do a lot of roasts and braises, and cook for a crew (and leftovers). It suits me. Tell us more about what you're cooking, and who you're cooking for, and you'll get a better answer. |

My most-used Dutch oven sizes are LC 2, 3, and 5. There are 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids under the age of 5).
I could see adding a 7 quart when my kids are older. |
| I have both brands and prefer Staub. The way they are made feels lighter although I think their official weights are very similar. |
Same. I think my most used is the 7qt Staub? You can't really go wrong either way but I reach for my Staub over my LC consistently. |
| I have a 5 quart one and I almost never use it. |
| Careful, the oval may only be for oven and not stove top. Make sure you are getting one that does both. |
Same here. Pretty much daily. |
| I recently bought the Cuisinart 7qt and really like it. |
| When in doubt, get the biggest. I have a 5.75 qt Staub and would love it to be a bit bigger. |
