I live in AZ - no kids in college yet but asu and u of Arizona are huge. Good recruiting and job placement for strong students. Where we live, almost everyone goes to an in state college option so your kid will be classmates with really smart kids and some less smart ones. If your kid is strong, try for the honors college.

Only worth it if you want to live in AZ. ASU particularly is just a continuation of the Phoenix area high school scene.

UA is a better school with a better national reputatuon.
