Can anyone share anecdotal experiences regarding whether your legacy kid got into Cornell ED or RD and if yes, their stats? Trying to decide for next year if this is the logical route.
When my DC applied several years ago, we found something on their website saying that they only considered legacy for ED applicants and that it did not help for RD. No clue if that's still the policy.
Cornell doesn’t care about legacy if not applying early. It makes sense that they see it as a reciprocal transaction.
Anecdotal, but I know a lot of Cornell legacies and siblings that got in ED. I don't know of any rejections (some deferred and then accepted). It seems to be almost a guarantee. Alumni involvement (donations, reunion attendance) is totally irrelevant.
I know a Cornell legacy who got in RD (didn’t get into other parents school ED).
