| I would like to purchase lab grown diamond studs (maybe 1.5 to 2 carat). Any jewelry stores that you’d recommend in Northern VA or DMV area? |
| Is your plan to buy just the studs and then buy the diamonds online? |
| No, I would like the diamonds with the studs. |
|
I bought lab grown studs from Blue Nile for Christmas for my daughter.
They looked nice and were reasonably priced. |
| Quince. |

| Are the earrings themselves well made? I was all set to buy lab grown emerald lever back ones but looked on reddit and earrings were flimsy. |

Blue Nile or James Allen.
No sense in going to a store for diamond studs. |
| Just buy them online like everyone else in NOVA. |
| If you buy 2 carat studs, everyone will know they’re fake. But I guess the culture values bling. |
| Not VA, but Diamond Exchange on Rockville Pike (near Georgetown Prep and the old White Flint mall). A very unassuming store with excellent prices and high quality (top level clarity and color) lab diamonds that come with certification papers. Really, really good prices. |
The op is talking about buying lab-grown diamonds, not fake ones. |
Depends on your presentation. I have 2 carat studs. In my circle, it's not unusual so no one would consider them fake. I have a friend with 6 carat studs. She is rich. She looks rich and no one would ever think that they are fake. She also has a 10 carat diamond engagement ring. |

I had my engagement ring (natural) matched with a lab grown diamond of the same specs and turned into stud earrings. Dominion Jewelers in Falls Church ordered the diamond and made the earrings.
No one thinks they’re fake because they’re not. |

Check the pawn shops.
Not kidding. |
