How do you store all the giant hoodies?

Middle school DD is all-in on the trendy, fluffy (almost foamy?) sweatshirts. You know the brands. The extra load of laundry is annoying enough but only like of them 4 fit into a drawer and I need a better solution. I see the options on Amazon but I want your lived experiences of my friends and neighbors - the multiple-bulb hanger? The over the door shelves? The clear pockets Tik Tok is always trying to sell me but the pockets look way too small?

I gotta have storage bench for the end of the bed. They all get thrown in there.

Install a row of wall hooks. Target or Home Depot sells these and I put one by the front door for easy access to jackets for the current season. I also put one inside the front closet for hanging umbrellas and baseball hats. You could put one in her room and it would be useful for hanging the hoodies as well as other items that are hard to store.

Oooh and that’s “aesthetic” as she would say in borderline brain rot - thank you!

Hung in closet.

you can put them anywhere you have space, you just need a lot of space. If it's drawers, big drawers. If it's hanging space, room for them to hang. If it's hooks, great, but you need wall space for enough hooks. Hooks is a good idea for converting blank wall to "clothing" if there is extra space there but not enough depth for more drawers, or for using space on the back of a door.

Why aren’t you all hanging these in closets with the rest of your kids clothes that aren’t in their dressers?

Same at our house.

My kid’s are shoved on a shelf in his closet and eventually end up in the floor of the closet. My solution is to not look in the closet.

They mostly fit in the closet but sometimes I’ll leave 1 in the hamper and wait until the next week’s laundry if I know everything else is clean. They take up so much space even when hung in a closet!
