Is ground beef a pizza topping where you live?

No pizza place in southern Maryland seems to have it. They thought we meant Italian sausage.

I'm in Arlington, and some places have "meatball" which often winds up as seasoned ground beef.

We had it in Michigan where I grew up. I haven’t seen it around here, but I haven’t really looked either, it isn’t something I would order.

I grew up in eastern PA and live in NYC—having had lots of pizza in those states plus NJ and CT, I can’t recall ever seeing it.

My mom used to make pizza topped with ground beef when I was a kid. I have seen it on menus—but don’t know which ones because it’s not something I would usually order. As others have said, meatballs are a very common topping.

You can definitely get it at Grotto at the beach, Maryland and Delaware, so there's mid-atlantic.

Oh, no. No way. Ground sausage, yes, especially in the Boston area. Usually "sweet" (not hot spicey fennel type sausage.
I have seen meatball toppings on menus in the DC area but never have eaten that.

My mom used to make “mock pizza “. Brown chopped meat in a frying pan, add jarred sauce, pour into pie dish, cover with mozzarella cheese and bake.

I’ve had pizza with meatballs as toppings, but not sprinkled ground beef as a topping.

I hope not.

Yes, my husband usually orders it. Most palaces in VA have it and all the major pizza chains.
