What can we bring to Xmas eve tomorrow
75 year old grandma who is a widow is hosting Her 2 kids an their spouses 2 grandkids 13 and 14 Her condo She’s cooking Dessert, plant? |
| A bottle of wine and some freshly baked cookies. Or ask her what you can bring? |
|
I would call and ask her what she needs. If nothing, fancy boxed chocolates or a batch of nice Christmas cookies, assuming you're a decent baker. She could put either of those things out with dessert, or interpret it as a hostess gift if she has dessert specifically planned out.
A whimsical package of Christmas cocktail napkins would be a fun add-on. Consumables are always appreciated in our household. |

Wine
Trader Joe’s cookies if they have any holiday ones left |
| Candle? |
| A nice colorful plant. |
| Cashmere blanket. |
|
Call and ask her for a specific suggestion. If she says nothing, bring wine. She can put it out or save it for another time.
|
| And one more thing, my 75 yo mother hates plants now because “it gives her one more thing to do and think about when she’s traveling.” But she loves wine! That’s why I suggested just wine. |
