They all take kids from UPK and unconnected schools. It’s “easier” to get into a bigger school with more spots.

While I understand your question, I think there’s more to it than that. Child performance at assessment, parent interview, how their class is shaping up and where they are filling in. A little luck can’t hurt. I agree with first reply - a bigger class size can’t hurt. Single sex may be easier than co ed.
