I’d like to help my DD plan her courses for next year, and I understand Naviance can be helpful for that. But how do I log in? The login page says I should’ve received a code but I searched my email and can’t find it. For students there is a single-sign on option — can DD login through her MCPS Gmail?

Not sure why you need Naviance to plan courses. Just use excel. List the years from 8th-12th. Fill in courses that fulfill graduation requirements each year and the the blocks remaining can be for electives.

What is helpful is the MCPS and individual HS course book. Even the MC Dual Enrollment courses. All of which can be found online.


With regards to Naviance, reach out to counselor for login.

To log onto Naviance, the student should log onto their Clever App (students do this every day) and then look or the Naviance logo. No extra password needed.

Parents can have their own log ins, separate from kids. I agree with a PP that this has little to do with actual course planning but it has a lot to do with college admissions so perhaps you're trying to get a big picture as you advise on courses, and that's fine.

I would suggest emailing your counselor for the code or instructions for logging in. I did it so long ago I don't recall the process but I did have a problem this year with my third kid not appearing in my already-created naviance account and the counselor fixed it right away.

Thanks for all your help! I got the Naviance code from DC’s counselor. Now I just need to understand how to use it!

Never used for course planning but I used my kids login to look at college admissions scattergrams and make sure their college list was correct
