| Curious to see how people feel about them (not talking about gifts to teachers). I find I end up with a random assortment of cards for stores I rarely shop at. |
|
No. I don't even like ones for places I do shop.
If we're going to do gifts, buy something that makes you think of me. If we are just swapping gift cards, what is even the point? |
| Yes, if its a store I like. |
|
I don't get random gift cards, usually just Visa gift cards, and I like them better than receiving some random gift I'll never use.
Sigh, I really wish my SIL would just give us a gift card for Christmas. Last year I gave away her gifts on Buy Nothing. |
| Just give me cold hard cash. |
| Just give me cold hard cash. |
| No. I'd rather nothing than a gift card. I have so many random ones already. |
|
I don't like gift cards because I read an article a few years ago that they are usually in a drawer with $3.20 still left on it and it gave me this picture of all the gift cards just not being fully used.
I only give cash to my young adult nieces and nephews, no gift cards. |
| Gift cards absolutely suck. |
| I’d rather skip exchanging gifts |
| Amazon gift cards, yes! |
| If its actually enough to buy something and I like the store, yes. Only $25 to anything above the Starbucks level is almost more trouble than its worth. |
| No. And I don't need them. |
| No. If you can’t spend the time to think about something nice for someone once a year, just give them cash or nothing. Gift cards have fees, get lost, are sometimes for niche places, and always end up with money unused. |
| I give gift cards - especially Visa ones - to people I don’t like. |
