EC organization got call from ED college seeking verification

This is a good sign right? Kid does a lot of work with this organization and is waiting on ED news from selective college this week, just learned that college called org to confirm hours and level of activity. Any experience with this?

Yale is calling everyone they are admitting in REA - and checking with counselors or big "awards" or ECs. All over Reddit.

If your kids application aligned with reality - it is good.
If there is some creative writing that was integrated into the application - not so good.

Good for them. There is so much hours inflation and title exaggeration and title-farming on ECs that I respect they are taking the time to do this. All tippy top schools should.
