| FDA OKs libido-boosting pill for women who have gone through menopause |
| That’s great news! Does anyone have personal experience with it? |
| Oh snap! 🎇🎆 |
| It doesn't work as good for women. |
| I’ve heard topical testosterone can have mixed results for libido in some menopausal women. This drug sounds like mixed results too. Can the two be taken together? |
with some women, getting a small dose of T is not helpful. Lots of hair growing on face, boobs increasing and other issues with reaching O. |
I’ve been on testosterone for a few months. The only side effects I’ve had have been positive: better Os and higher libido. I was a year into menopause when those both went south, but the T has helped a lot. I’ve read it’s about 50/50 on whether it helps, but I do want to encourage others to try it. I have no excess hair or weird stuff happening. |
This is encouraging. Please tell us more about your age and how long you have been taking it. |
Link? Name of medication? Available now or not yet? |
| To the poster that is on T with positive results, what’s your dose and what form of T are you taking? |

This is a big nothing. It’s Addyi, which has been on the market for ten years and barely used because it is so underwhelming. It was originally approved for premenopausal women only and now it’s been approved for post menopause. Haven’t seen anything suggesting that it’ll be any more effective for older women than it is for younger women, so nothing to get excited about, pardon the pun.
