If by "high end" you mean expensive then you are out of luck. That is the going rate for a cooking class. |
| Do *they* want to take a cooking class? |
| Do they like to cook? |

What exactly are you looking for? Classes for people who already know how to cook? Help for people who don't? Is there any hint of a nag in here ("You spend too much on takeout!")?
If they can sort of cook, a knife skills class is really helpful. |
| Hill center in DC has knife skills and other classes |
| If they like to cook and are familiar with a kitchen then I’d gift them something like a NYT or ATK digital subscription. If they are newbies and you want them to learn then an upscale cooking class might not exactly fit the bill. |
