I’m a therapist. Please, take this off your worry/guilt list! Just have a nice holiday with your kid. I’m a mom too and the fewer “should dos” we all have this time of year the better.

I'm a psychologist. We actually have lots of rules/considerations around receiving gifts and I personally always found it easier/cleaner when clients did not give gifts. Of course, a very small gift from your child (like a handmade card or a candy bar) is not complicated to accept, but it is also very much not expected.
