Why was the Bondi Beach thread shut down?

There was a good discussion about American gun control efforts versus other countries

I deleted most of the posts but it had become a debate between Islamophobes against anti-Israel posts. I was not prepared to devote anymore time to the thread when there is a Packers game on.

DP. There is plenty of inappropriate discussion on the Brown shooting thread about the shooter's motivation, calling him "MAGA," etc. when none of that is known.

Yet when I tried to post an AP News report about the Bondi Beach shooting, I got a "Forbidden" message.

I didn’t know you were a Packers fan! Today’s game was rough with the injuries. Nevertheless GPG.

Life long Packers fan. Today was devastating. It could be the end of the season. They lost their best defensive player, best wide receiver, and best offensive lineman. Even Jacobs was looking banged up.

I agree but am trying to keep my hopes up. We continued to perform after losing Kraft. I hope Watson and Tom will be back. Micah is done. Wish we could get Clark back.
