| My son is telling me that one of his classmates is threatening to do some stuff. Apparently he’s saying that he’ll break into our house and redecorate my son’s room. I think it’s a joke but my son just isn’t so sure. They’re not friends which makes this really weird. He might have autism if he’s threatening that but I don’t know. I’m trying to comfort my son and he doesn’t seem too scared but he’s still a little. |

I don't understand this "redecorate" stuff. Impossible to even guess about what's going on here without more context. I mean ... I'm picturing everything from a mob boss saying "I'm going to redecorate your room" in the same tone they might say "rearrange your face" to a weird kid who is harmless and not making much sense to anyone but himself.
Either way, it does sound aggressive. |
| Get your kid a gun and make sure he knows how to use it. He might need to take weirdo out. |

“Redecorate “
Isn’t important the “ breaking into your house “ is a threat and you report it to the school and police |
Oh for heaven's sake -- OP, do not report it to the police. |
|
Is this some slang I don’t understand? Like someone posted an eggplant phone case completely unaware that it’s the penis emoji. Does redecorate have some sinister meaning? |
| Redecorate is gangster talk for bust up |
Urban dictionary gives an even more, uh, colorful possibility https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=decorate |
Ugh to you assuming the bad kid is autistic. Do better. |
| Redecorate, in this context, does not mean to change the bedspread and furniture. |
| I’d reach out to the school and see if they can arrange a meeting with both kid and a parent. |
| OP- WTH are you jumping to “autism?” Don’t do that. |
Report it to the school Counselor and Vice Principal, send on the text or email or whatever method that this was discussed. Find out what classes your son has with the kid and email the teachers so that they are aware that something weird is happening and can keep an eye on the boys in class. Don’t assume that the kid is autistic because of this, that is a crazy leap. |

“Our German Shepherd bites people, I wouldn’t break into my house.”
Problem solved. |
| How old boys are we talking about here? It's different if the boy is 12 versus 17. |
