DC deferred. 34 act 4.2 gpa

35 ACT was the 75% (test required)!!!

I think UGA and similar schools have HIGHER standardized test results than some if not all Ivies.

I have no connection to UGA but this is wild.

These schools are judging whether you’ll attend or not. Of course you’re qualified.

DC accepted! 32 ACT, 4.3 GPA

Also deferred - 1400 SAT, 4.2 gpa. It was his top choice

They’re not accepting your over qualified kids because they’re assuming they can do much better (and they can).

State schools do not usually yield protect

Pp here, whose kid was deferred - I think UGA is very competitive right now

Are these the weighted GPA? Seems low.

I posted and it is a private school GPA. It isn’t low at our school.

Accepted DC poster here - also private - 4.3 gpa - all As but not as many AP courses offered as elsewhere (mainly honors). Rigor is high.

I think gpa is very school district dependent - for example, it seems like MCPS gives more weight than FCPS to honors classes. So what would be low for one school district isn’t for another -

Got a cite for that?

I think UGA recalculates GPA and only boost is given for AP, DE, IB
