I recently transferred carriers and have a phone just around connected to WiFi that I could give to my child to use. I’ve heard of people doing this and started googling how it works but I’m a bit confused? Without a phone line they just use WiFi for web access and games/apps?

| Not sure what your question is. Yes, can use whatever wifi gives them access to. A good thing is that there is an SOS function if they're outside of the house and need it. |
| Still should configure tight parental controls. |
| Put the phone in airplane mode so it doesn’t complain about cellular stuff, connect to wifi and off you go. I do that with an old iPhone in the kitchen that does nothing but play music all day. |

How old is the child ?
You can put the streaming apps on it. Netflix, Disney etc. If child is old enough to communicate with other kids you can put apps on like WhatsApp, fb messenger etc. It will only work with WiFi obviously |
