| What the title says |
Reads and heavily comments pretending to be parents. That is a known tactic of public school systems across the country and has been documented to have happened here in MCPS. |
| I strongly suspect they do, but OP, this is an anonymous forum. What exactly are you expecting anyone here to post that will persuasively confirm or dismiss your suspicion? |
DCUM threads that discuss sensitive school issues have been documented in court cases but has it been documented that CO posts and pretends to be parents? |
|
I mean the CO probably has thousands of employees. It wouldn't surprise if some of them posted once in a while.
On the other hand I think a lot of time people go overboard in assuming any post that supports MCPS must be from a CO employee. |

It was kind of funny because it seemed like there were a couple of feeler posts and later on you'd see some sort of proposal related to it.
One specific instance that comes to mind is that there was a post asking how people would feel about bussing or something along those lines. Then shortly afterwards the six regional model was proposed. So I think staff from MCPS do lurk in these boards and use it to try to get a feel for things and sometimes do some gaslighting too. |

This. It's so annoying. |

Many CO people are also MCPS parents. |
Proof? |
| If they read the threads they would know that many people do not care for the regional model but that is not stopping them? |
| Yes absolutely. I once had a fierce debate with one who nearly acknowledged their CO role and who cursed me in a couple of replies. |

Pretty much all of the forums in dcurbanmom, read like trade guilds.
Oh no my child isn't performing well at artistic basket weaving! Well, you better get them a private trainer. |
| The "MCPS HR director no longer employed" thread has a number of posts from people who insist they know what happened because "they're on the inside." |
