What is Your Favorite Luggage Set

Looking for a Christmas gift and looking for something with spinner wheels that will last.

Something cheap from Wal-Mart or Kohl's. Luggage takes a beating, so I don't spend a lot on fancy luggage.

I bought a new set from Calpak a few years ago. It's been fine, but I wouldn't recommend it. If I had it to do over again, I'd either save the cash and just fine something at TJ Maxx, or I'd spend some cash and go with Tumi.

I have had both Away and Tumi. Timing much more expensive. Away is fine and much more affordable.

We’ve always purchased name brand (like Samsonite) luggage at TJMaxx type stores. They’ve lasted plenty long, over 12 years running. Next purchase will be the same and be a single carryon. I think you could find set there too.

I’d also consider Costco for a set.

This is so personal. Did they ask for this? Did they specify hard shell or soft side?

As a person who is very particular and doesn’t like gifts, this would be a nightmare surprise.

Yep. I don’t want the cheapest but I know it will take a beating.

Love my Briggs & Riley. They have a lifetime warranty but are well made so hold up. You can get them discounted through Costco now.

My parents gave me a luggage set for my 25th birthday. I've only ever used the smallest suitcase and I'm 49 now.

Well, some of us actually do a lot of traveling to places and for periods of time for which a larger suitcase is best.

Costco does usually have good deals on Samsonite sets. If this is a gift, think about packing cubes or toiletry sets too
