What random no-value, everyday item does a 2-year-old love?

Seeing a friend on his kid's 2nd birthday. What can I put in a box for the kid to unwrap that is safe and will make him squeal? I've seen kids that age get excited by the most random stuff, and yet I'm coming up blank.

To be clear, I'm not buying anything. No one needs more stuff.

Buy a book.

Thr obvious answer is a giant box. See if you can get one at home depot or somewhere like that. The parents can toss it later. My kids were obsessed with them!

lots of colorful tissue paper or other crumpled paper

bubble wrap

a box with another box inside of it

a box the kid can sit in

some business-card style or other large, flat magnets that can't break or rip (the ones you get for free, it doesn't matter what they say) inside a reusable container

freebie sunglasses

box of band-aids

Balloons! Filled balloons are commonly available at Dollar Tree and opening a box of helium balloons will bring joy and in the end leave no clutter.

My nephew (turning 3 soon) is obsessed with gloves. Winter gloves, disposable gloves, any glove. He's an odd one lol.

No way.
Just a big or medium sized cardboard box is good.
Or a big roll of paper.

An empty oatmeal box - in addition to standard rectangular box features, it rolls

A plastic colander - it’s a hat, a container, and something interesting to look through

Why not? That’s what I always get for my friends’ kids.
