A very unsurprising pick - but I honestly thought they would choose AI itself as the "person" of the year. Mind you, the Person of the Year is not always an honor - it is the most impactful person, thing, or entity, not the one with the most POSITIVE impact. Adolf Hitler was given this dubious honor before. I've also noticed that the recent previous recipients: Biden, Musk, Zelensky, Taylor Swift, and Trump - fell out of favor with the public opinion the year or so after, or at least public just kind of got sick of them. Maybe AI will do the same?  If only.
