Going to Sephora - need face cream recs

I'm 47 and it seems that my skin is getting more and more dry every year. Whatever lotion or cream I put on my face immediately gets absorbed and my skin is dry for the rest of the day. I also have super dry and itchy skin the rest of my body and have to use lotion every day. What do you recommend for aging dry skin that I can get at sephora?

It’s very expensive but I swear by La Mer moisturizing cream (not soft cream) for dry, can be irritated skin.

Sephora is having 20% off right now and I always wait to get it on sale and stock up.

For body—CeraVe from Amazon. Not expensive.

I like to use the L’Occitane immortelle youth face oil and then put on their Immortelle Divine cream. I put a few drops of the oil on my wet face immediately after washing and massage it in till it’s absorbed, then add the cream over that.

For body I like the good old Body Shop shea butter or mango butter. They don’t have a physical store in the US but sell online directly or via their Amazon storefront.

i used to use fancy sephora creams, but i switched to Vanicream (the thick cream, not the lotion) and slather it on every night and my dry skin problems disappeared.

I have tried everything and have fallen in love with the M-61 (terrible name) line from BlueMercury. Serums are important too. My skin has never looked better with the following:

I use the ultra rich cream at night:

and during the day the hydraboost cream

Every other night I do this gentle "peel" pad which may seem counterintuitive but gets old skin off and then my skin soaks up the serums/moistureizer.

I also use a Vitamin C and Coenzyme Q10 serum (also has HA) from Timeless.

Vanicream just lays on top of your skin it doesn't seem to absorb well. I like Aveeno for body and eucerin q-10 anti-wrinkle cream works as good as the super expensive stuff.

I like Charlotte Tillbury or Tatcha.

Dr Rogers. Not sold at Sephora but better.

I use Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Cream, Kiehl's Ultra Face Cream, and La Roche Pose Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer

Seconding the Kiehl's Ultra Face Cream. It's thick but not heavy.

This stuff breaks me out and I don't typically break out. TETO.

do not buy lotion or cosmetics from Amazon! Unless you go to the "store page" and find it there, it's LIKELY counterfeit. Or continue to buy it there but don't complain when it smells weird, turned your skin black or has maggots in it.

Also, you don't need $$$$ lotions, neutrogena and cerave are the best.
