Cover letter - Use AI

I am applying to some reach jobs and think a cover letter will help my case. But I am unsure how much to involve AI. I usually write a complete letter, then let the AI iterate over the letter to tweak and check against job posting.

Using ZeroGPT it scores 25% AI or so. So is that demonstration of skill with modern tools or a mark of a lazy incompetent who can’t write?

I’m project manager so writing is part of job for reporting etc but it’s not a core skill.

This is fine.

I have a grad degree in writing and applying to jobs is such a grind that I use AI to quickly draft cover letters. I edit them of course, but I use chat for initial draft.
