Crew neck or turtleneck shirt under v-neck sweater

Can this look ok? Or do I need a v-neck shirt under a v-neck sweater.

My neck is always cold and the skin on my chest is getting kind of weather beaten so I would rather cover up, but I feel like it looks dorky.

I usually wear a white or cream crew neck tee under both v neck and crew neck sweaters so it peaks out. Layering adds interest.

I am not a turtleneck person because I have a short neck.

Turtleneck under crew neck is okay but not the v neck. It would look weird.

You should consider not buying v necks if your chest is always cold. Solved your problem. I think a t-shirt and turtleneck under a v neck sweater looks lazy.

I love a turtleneck under a vneck because it reminds me of all the aunts from 1992. But you can also wear a scarf or just zip up your coat?

Agree, but I already have them! I’m trying to use to the stuff that I already own. Which is nice, just not a neck line that I would buy today.
